About Chris
Chris was born in Braco, Perthshire in 1978. He attended Crieff High School and graduated from Perth College in 1999 with an HND in Graphic Design. He then graduated from Duncan Jordanstone, Dundee College of Art in 2003 with honours in Illustration and Printmaking. He travelled and participated in teaching projects in various countries including Peru, India, Australia, and Sri Lanka. In 2006, he was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome and in 2019 with bowel cancer. During his recovery, he completed courses in landscape and Japanese garden design. He creates finely detailed black and white illustrations of industrial landscapes, with highlights of contemporary and historical images, as well as coloured semi-abstract work using an iPad/computer. He currently lives in Alloa and is influenced by the industrial feel in the Forth Valley.
