Alison Lunney
Painter (Watercolour, Charcoal, Pastel, Acrylic)
Based in: Aberuthven / Perthshire
About Alison
Alison Lunney was brought up in Peebles in the Borders and has now settled in Aberuthven. Alison was creative from a young age, drawing, painting, modelling clay and sewing, getting inspiration from wildlife and nature around her. Alison painted birds in gouache on paper and slate and later moved to watercolour, charcoal, pastel and sometimes acrylic.
After finishing a general Art and Design course at Falmouth School of Art she has continued to paint and draw and also explored free form crochet and jewellery making with semi precious stones, running a small business with a friend for over 5 years.
Attending the CREW workshops when she first moved has connected her with the creative local community and established some good friendships. Art is always better with friends.
