CREW Drama is a vibrant, community-focused theatre group that meets every Tuesday evening at 7pm in the Auchterarder Picturehouse. The group brings together people of all ages and experience levels who share a passion for storytelling, performance, and creative collaboration. Over the years, CREW Drama has produced a number of large-scale productions, including its most recent and most ambitious project involving almost 150 participants from across the community. These productions showcase not only the group’s creative talent but also the strength of community spirit in Auchterarder.
Beyond major shows, CREW Drama actively supports a wide range of smaller activities in partnership with other local groups, helping to enrich cultural life across the town. One of the group’s current and most innovative projects is the development of the Auchterarder Heritage Trail. This unique initiative brings local history to life through pre-recorded dramatic stories, accessible via QR-code linked videos placed at key locations. It combines creativity, heritage, and technology to offer a fresh and engaging way for residents and visitors to explore Auchterarder.
The group is led by Lesley Buchan Donald and Tom Langlands, whose enthusiasm, expertise, and dedication continue to inspire the ever-growing CREW Drama community.
